Job summary

Booking Holdings seeks a meticulous SAP Release Engineer to manage end-to-end SAP transport and release processes, ensuring stability of our SAP landscape across FinTech projects.

You will work with functional consultants, developers, Program and BASIS teams to optimize release cycles and documentation, while upholding SOX compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SAP Release Management or SAP BASIS.
• CS, Engineering, or similar university background required.
• Deep proficiency in SAP Transport Management (STMS, Retrofit).
• Experience with SAP ABAP objects, version control and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of AWS components (S3, EC2) related to SAP environments.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile and DevOps in SAP; SOX and change governance.

• Improve release cycle efficiencies and reduce deployment lead times.
• Uphold integrity of the production environment across landscapes.

We are looking for a meticulous and driven SAP Release Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of SAP transport and release processes, ensuring the stability and integrity of our complex SAP landscape while supporting our mission to provide seamless services to various projects in FIntech.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in SAP Release Management or SAP BASIS.


• Education: CS, Engineering, or similar university background is a MUST HAVE.


• SAP Transport Management: Deep proficiency in STMS, Retrofit and managing complex landscapes (N, N+1).


• Release Tools: Experience with Active Control and CALM


• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of SAP ABAP objects, version control, and conflict resolution (retrofitting).


• Cloud & Infrastructure: Basic understanding of AWS components (S3, EC2) as they relate to SAP environments is good to have.


• Methodology: Experience working in a scrum/agile environment and understanding of DevOps principles within SAP.


• Compliance: Professional experience with SOX, audit requirements, and change management governance.


• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English.
