Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune seeks an experienced SAP PPM Consultant to lead end-to-end SAP PPM implementations and AMS engagements. The role covers solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support across SAP PPM and SAP PS, with integration to FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM modules.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in SAP, hands-on ECC/S4HANA experience, and a track record of multiple lifecycle projects. Hybrid work options may be discussed as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of SAP experience with SAP PPM focus
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
• Minimum of 2 full lifecycle SAP PPM/PS implementation projects
• Minimum 3 years of SAP Application Support (AMS) experience
• Experience integrating SAP PS with FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM/SuccessFactors modules
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications related to SAP PPM and SAP PS

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in full lifecycle SAP PPM implementation projects.
• Conduct requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and solution design workshops.
• Configure and implement Portfolio Management, Portfolio Buckets, Item & Initiative Management, Financial Planning, Capacity Planning, Resource Planning, Demand & Opportunity Management.
• Support ECC to S/4HANA transformation and migration initiatives.
• Develop functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
• Configure and support SAP Project System (PS) including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Networks, Milestones, Project Budgeting, Cost Planning, Settlement, Results Analysis.
• Integrate SAP PPM with SAP PS, FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM/SuccessFactors, Enterprise Portfolio & Resource Management solutions.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP PPM and PS applications.
• Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage service requests, enhancements, change requests, and support activities.
• Support month-end and year-end project closing activities.
• Prepare functional specifications, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Execute SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support cutover planning, data migration, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.

About Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Consultant with strong expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end SAP PPM implementation projects as well as Application Management Support (AMS) engagements.
