Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited in Pune seeks an experienced SAP Logistics Lead to drive end-to-end logistics transformation in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. You will design, configure, implement, and support SAP modules across MM, SD, WM/EWM, PP, QM, and logistics executions, coordinating with ABAP, BASIS, data migration and integration teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Logistics solution design, configuration, implementation, and support across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, fit-gap analysis, and walkthroughs with stakeholders.
• Document requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Prepare functional specs, process docs, and design artifacts.
• Configure SAP MM, IM, WM/EWM, PP, QM, and Logistics Execution processes.
• Drive integration across MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, FI/CO.
• Support P2P, Plan-to-Produce, and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Security, Data Migration, and Integration teams.
• Design and support integrations with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, EDI, and middleware.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve cross-functional issues.
• Lead testing across unit, SIT, UAT, and regression; manage defects.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, and go-live activities.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change management in SAP support.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Lead with strong expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA to lead Logistics and Supply Chain transformation initiatives across enterprise environments. What You’ll Do:

• Lead SAP Logistics solution design, configuration, implementation, and support across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Conduct business workshops, discovery sessions, fit‑gap analysis, and solution walkthroughs with business stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications, business process documents, configuration documents, and solution design artifacts.
• Configure and support SAP MM, IM, WM/EWM, PP, QM, Logistics Execution, Batch Management, and Vendor Management processes.
• Drive integration across SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and FI/CO.
• Support and optimize Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Plan‑to‑Produce (P2P), and Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) business processes.
• Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Security, Data Migration, and Integration teams to deliver business requirements.
• Design and support integrations with third‑party applications using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, EDI, and middleware solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex cross‑functional and integration‑related issues.
• Lead unit testing, system testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and defect management activities.
• Support data migration, reconciliation, validation, cutover planning, and go‑live execution activities.
• Manage SAP application support activities including incidents, service requests, problem management, and change management.
• Ensure adherence to service‑level agreements, governance frameworks, and support processes.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, business leaders, and process owners to align solutions with business objectives.
• Provide project status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership teams.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation, migration, rollout, enhancement, and upgrade initiatives.

Expertise You’ll Bring:

• 8–12 years of experience in SAP Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and SAP implementation projects.
• Extensive experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP Logistics modules including SAP SD, MM, IM, WM/EWM, PP, QM, and Logistics Execution.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, and Supply Chain business processes.
• Proven experience leading workshops, fit‑gap analysis, solution design, and business process transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SAP master data, transactional processes, and cross‑functional integrations.
• Experience integrating SAP with external applications using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, EDI, and middleware platforms.
• Expertise in preparing functional specifications, process flows, business requirement documents, and configuration documentation.
• Experience collaborating with ABAP, Integration, Basis, Security, and Data Migration teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse management, procurement, production planning, and logistics execution processes.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration, implementation, enhancement, and rollout projects.
• Hands‑on experience in testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and go‑live support.
• Strong production support, incident management, problem management, and change management experience.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex functional and integration issues.
