Persistent Systems Limited in Pune seeks an experienced SAP Security & GRC Consultant to design secure SAP environments, manage access controls, and support governance initiatives. You will collaborate with business, audit, and technical teams to deliver compliant SAP solutions.

The role requires 8–12 years of hands‑on SAP Security experience, including ECC and S/4HANA, plus GRC modules ARA/ARM/BRM/EAM. Hybrid work and ongoing education benefits are provided.

AboutPosition:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Security & GRC Consultant with 8–12 years of expertise in SAP Security, SAP GRC Access Control, ITGC compliance, and SAP S/4HANA security administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing secure SAP environments, managing user access and authorization controls, supporting governance and compliance initiatives, and ensuring adherence to security best practices across SAP landscapes. The role requires strong experience in SAP Security implementation, GRC administration, audit support, role management, risk analysis, and enterprise security governance. You will collaborate with business, audit, compliance, and technical teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable SAP solutions.

WhatYou'llDo:

• Design, configure, and maintain SAP security roles and authorization profiles across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Implement and support SAP GRC Access Control modules including Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Access Request Management (ARM), Business Role Management (BRM), and Emergency Access Management (EAM).
• Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, access modifications, and role assignments.
• Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, risk assessments, mitigation planning, and compliance monitoring.
• Design and implement secure role-based access controls in collaboration with SAP functional teams.
• Support SAP Security activities during implementation, rollout, migration, and transformation projects.
• Conduct user access reviews and support governance and compliance initiatives.
• Manage emergency access and firefighting processes in accordance with organizational policies.
• Troubleshoot authorization issues using SAP tools such as SU53, ST01, SU24, and PFCG.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex access and authorization-related issues.
• Support SAP S/4HANA security configuration, governance, and administration activities.
• Coordinate with integration and middleware teams to secure APIs, RFCs, OData services, and system interfaces.
• Participate in fit-to-standard workshops and recommend SAP Security best practices.
• Manage security transport governance, release management, and change control activities.
• Prepare audit documentation, compliance reports, access review reports, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide L2 and L3 support in an ITIL-driven support environment.
• Conduct end-user awareness sessions and security governance training.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across SAP Security, GRC, and compliance frameworks.

ExpertiseYou'llBring:

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security administration, implementation, and support projects.
• Strong expertise in SAP ECC Security and SAP S/4HANA Security.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with SAP GRC Access Control solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts, security architecture, role design, and access governance.
• Hands‑on expertise in SAP GRC modules including ARA, ARM, BRM, and EAM.
• Experience conducting Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, risk assessments, and mitigation management.
• Strong knowledge of ITGC controls, audit processes, compliance frameworks, and governance requirements.
• Experience supporting access reviews, compliance audits, remediation activities, and audit evidence collection.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP security tools including PFCG, SU24, SU53, ST01, and user administration functions.
• Understanding of authentication technologies including SSO, SAML, Identity Management, and role governance.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA and SAP cloud security environments.
• Knowledge of API security, OData services, RFC security, and SAP integration security concepts.
• Experience managing security transports, release processes, and change management activities.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with business, audit, compliance, and technical stakeholders.
