Job summary

Ascendum Solutions India seeks a senior SAP PP specialist to lead end-to-end PP implementations, upgrades, and support. You will gather requirements, translate them into SAP PP/QM solutions, and configure MTO/MTS processes.

You will integrate PP with MM, WM, SD, FICO, and non-SAP systems, develop functional specs, conduct testing, and train users. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP PP experience including FIORI interface and customization.
• Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP PP implementations.
• Experience with MTO and MTS strategies.
• Configuring production and planning for manufacturing/assembly.
• Quality planning, inspections, audits in manufacturing/assembly.
• Experience on at least two S/4HANA projects and roll-outs.
• Integration with legacy SAP via IDOC, Proxy and API.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP PP implementations, upgrades, and support projects.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP PP/QM solutions.
• Configure SAP PP processes for MTO & MTS scenarios
• Integrate SAP PP processes with other SAP modules (MM, WM, SD, FICO etc.) and other non-sap systems.
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide training and support to end-users and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• System Optimization: Identify opportunities for system optimization and propose solutions to improve efficiency, streamline production processes, and enhance reporting capabilities. Optimize the SAP PP system to meet the specific needs of the business.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support to production plants by troubleshooting issues, resolving system errors, and implementing necessary enhancements. Monitor system performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and ensure system stability.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP innovations and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP module, including FIORI interface and customization.
• Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP PP implementations.
• Should have worked on MTO and MTS strategies.
• Working experience in configuring production and planning for manufacturing / assembly processes.
• Working experience in configuring quality planning, inspection, notifications, audits, and control for manufacturing / assembly processes.
• Strong understanding of quality processes in manufacturing and supply chain environments.
• Should have worked on at least two S4HANA projects and roll-out projects.
• Working experience in setting up integration with legacy/other SAP system via IDOC, Proxy and API.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• SAP certification in PP or related modules.
• Experience with SAP Fiori apps and SAP Activate methodology.
• Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
