Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced SAP MM techno-functional consultant to lead inventory and stock management solutions within SAP S/4HANA. You will map inventory concepts, validate APIs, and collaborate with engineering teams on connectivity setup and testing.

The role requires 8-12 years of SAP MM experience, deep knowledge of S/4HANA inventory processes, and a strong ability to map business requirements to SAP data structures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze SAP S/4HANA inventory objects, tables, CDS Views, APIs, and OData services for inventory and stock management.
• Map inventory concepts to SAP objects and fields (On Hand Stock, Available Stock, etc.).
• Recommend integration approaches using APIs, OData, CDS Views and SAP frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering on connectivity setup, API configuration, authentication, testing, troubleshooting.
• Validate SAP standard APIs for Material Master, Stock Management, Movements, Plants, Storage Locations, and Orders.
• Support mapping business inventory requirements to SAP data structures.
• Identify client-specific customizations affecting inventory integration and data extraction.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation for inventory accuracy across systems.
• Analyze inventory processes and align with SAP S/4HANA standards.
• Identify gaps in SAP connector capabilities and suggest enhancements.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver SAP integration solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, mapping, and validating SAP inventory-related objects, APIs, and data models while supporting engineering teams in building efficient SAP connectivity solutions. This role requires strong functional and technical understanding of SAP S/4HANA inventory processes, API integrations, and best practices for enterprise-wide inventory management.

What You'll Do:

• Identify and analyze standard SAP S/4HANA inventory objects, tables, CDS Views, APIs, and OData services required for inventory and stock management solutions.
• Map inventory concepts such as On Hand Stock, Available Stock, Allocated Stock, Committed Stock, In-Transit Inventory, Plant, Storage Location, Material, Product, and Batch Management to the appropriate SAP objects and fields.
• Recommend scalable and SAP-compliant integration approaches using APIs, OData Services, CDS Views, and standard SAP frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during SAP connectivity setup, API configuration, authentication, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Validate implementation of SAP standard APIs related to Material Master, Stock Management, Inventory Movements, Plants, Storage Locations, and Orders.
• Support functional and technical teams in mapping business inventory requirements to SAP S/4HANA data structures.
• Identify client‑specific customizations, enhancements, and configurations impacting inventory integration and data extraction.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy and consistency across integrated systems.
• Analyze inventory management processes and recommend best practices aligned with SAP S/4HANA standards.
• Identify gaps in SAP connector capabilities and provide recommendations for enhancements to support business use cases.
• Work closely with stakeholders, architects, consultants, and developers to deliver high‑quality SAP integration solutions.
• Support project documentation, solution design discussions, and technical knowledge‑sharing activities.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8-12 years of experience in SAP consulting with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) and Inventory Management.
• Deep understanding of SAP inventory processes, material stock management, warehouse‑related inventory concepts, and stock movement transactions.
• Strong experience working with SAP inventory tables, CDS Views, APIs, OData Services, and master data structures.
• Expertise in mapping inventory business requirements to SAP data models and functional processes.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP integration frameworks and API‑based connectivity.
• Strong understanding of SAP best practices for system integrations and data extraction.
• Experience supporting API authentication, connectivity validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to identify standard versus custom SAP functionality and recommend optimal implementation approaches.
