Durus consulting Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking an SAP MM Functional Support Associate to provide day-to-day support for procurement and inventory processes in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

The role requires strong problem-solving, ownership of user issues, and understanding of end-to-end business scenarios across Procurement, Production, Quality, Sales, Planning, and Finance, preferably in the automotive industry.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in SAP MM functional support, implementation support, or relevant business-process support.
• SAP MM or S/4HANA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Foundational knowledge of SAP MM and end-to-end procure-to-pay, inventory, and material-planning processes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide L1/L2 functional support to end users for SAP MM processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, SA, PSF, goods receipt, invoice verification, stock transfers, and inventory management.
• Analyse incidents and service requests, resolve functional issues within agreed timelines, and maintain clear ticket documentation.
• Support material, vendor/business partner, purchasing, and inventory master data activities.
• Guide users on standard SAP processes, transaction usage, and basic reporting.
• Understand and troubleshoot end-to-end business scenarios spanning procurement, MRP and planning, production, quality management, sales and distribution, and finance.
• Identify cross-module integration issues involving SAP MM, PP, QM, SD, FI/CO, and related functions; coordinate with functional and Basis teams for resolution.
• Perform functional testing for fixes, enhancements, interfaces, and periodic SAP changes; document results and support user acceptance testing.
• Prepare user guides, process notes, and knowledge-base articles.

Role Summary

We are looking for an SAP MM Functional Support Associate to provide day-to-day support to business users across procurement and inventory processes in an SAP S/4HANA environment. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ownership of user issues, and an understanding of end-to-end business scenarios and integration across Procurement, Production, Quality, Sales, Planning, and Finance, preferably in the automotive industry.

Required Skills

• Foundational knowledge of SAP MM and end-to-end procure-to-pay, inventory, and material-planning processes.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA concepts and the Fiori user experience.
• Basic cross-functional knowledge of SAP PP, QM, SD, FI/CO, and MRP, including how procurement integrates with production, quality, sales, planning, and finance.
• Awareness of manufacturing business processes; exposure to automotive procurement, production, quality, logistics, or dealer/OEM scenarios is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot transaction errors, master-data issues, process gaps, and basic integration failures.
• Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data validation and reporting.
