The ideal candidate has 10+ years SAP experience with at least 5 years in ILM/Data Archiving, and a strong grasp of GDPR/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define retention policies based on legal and business requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end SAP ILM projects including requirements, design, testing and deployment.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) Consultant to design, implement, and support SAP data archiving, data retention, data privacy, and system decommissioning solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP ILM, ArchiveLink, SAP Data Archiving, GDPR/compliance requirements, and SAP landscape optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP ILM solutions for data retention, archiving, and destruction.
• Configure and support SAP Data Archiving objects across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and related SAP applications.
• Define and implement retention management policies based on legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Manage end-to-end SAP ILM projects, including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and support.
• Perform system decommissioning projects using SAP ILM Retention Warehouse and related technologies.
• Work with functional and technical teams to identify archiving candidates and optimize database growth.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, and local data privacy requirements.
• Configure and support ArchiveLink and content repositories.
• Develop archiving strategies to improve system performance and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP ILM and archiving-related issues.
• Create technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Support audits and compliance reviews related to data retention and destruction.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP experience with at least 5 years in SAP ILM/Data Archiving.
• Strong expertise in: SAP ILM Retention Management SAP Data Archiving Archive Administration (SARA) Information Retention Manager ArchiveLink SAP Content Server SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in archiving modules such as: FI/CO MM SD HCM CRM BW Understanding of database management and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with SAP Basis administration concepts.
• Experience working with cross-functional business teams.
