SAP Data Archival Specialist - ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)

Key Responsibilities

SAP ILM Data Archival Strategy

• - Design and implement data archiving strategies using SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) to manage the lifecycle of data, from creation to deletion, across SAP systems.
• - Develop archiving policies and retention rules based on business needs and compliance requirements.
• - Ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and deletion, adhering to regulatory standards like GDPR.

Data Archiving Execution

• - Perform data archiving processes for SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, etc.), ensuring minimal impact on system performance and data integrity.
• - Monitor and manage archived data to maintain system performance and optimize the database size.
• - Coordinate with functional teams to identify archive objects and data growth patterns, ensuring data is archived appropriately.

SAP ILM Configuration

• - Configure and maintain SAP ILM components, including ILM policies, rules, retention schedules, and storage systems.
• - Integrate SAP ILM with third-party storage solutions and ensure seamless data management across various storage media.

Data Retention and Compliance

• - Ensure adherence to data retention policies and legal requirements, including GDPR, SOX, and other data protection regulations.
• - Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the secure and compliant archiving and deletion of sensitive data.

System Performance and Troubleshooting

Documentation and Reporting
