Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced SAP IBP / oBP Lead Consultant to head supply chain planning implementations and design. The role requires strong expertise in SAP IBP, particularly oBP, with end-to-end implementation experience and SAP S/4HANA integration capabilities.

The candidate will lead workshops, drive requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize planning processes across demand, supply, inventory, and orders.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP / oBP Lead Consultant to lead supply chain planning implementations, solution design, configuration, and deployment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), particularly Order-Based Planning (oBP), with experience in end-to-end implementations, business process optimization, and integration with SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP IBP implementations, with a strong focus on Order-Based Planning (oBP).
• Drive solution architecture, business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and functional design.
• Configure and implement SAP IBP oBP capabilities, including supply planning, order-based supply planning, and response planning.
• Work on supply chain planning processes covering demand, supply, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Configure planning areas, master data, key figures, planning operators, and planning profiles as applicable.
• Design and implement order-based planning solutions using time-series and order-based planning capabilities, as required by the business.
• Integrate SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP using relevant integration technologies, including real-time integration where applicable.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define planning strategies, constraints, prioritization rules, and exception handling.
• Lead workshops, prepare functional specifications, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Coordinate with technical teams for integrations, enhancements, data migration, and reporting.
• Lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to functional consultants and ensure quality deliverables.
• Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify supply chain process gaps and recommend best practices to improve planning efficiency and service levels.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP IBP, particularly Order-Based Planning (oBP).
• Expertise in supply planning, order-based planning, response planning, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong understanding of SAP IBP architecture, master data, planning operators, and integration frameworks.
• Experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.
• Knowledge of order-based planning concepts, including orders, sourcing, supply constraints, and pegging, where applicable.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP IBP implementation and deployment.
• Strong stakeholder management, solution design, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in at least 2–3 end-to-end SAP IBP implementations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP IBP for Order-Based Planning and SAP S/4HANA integration.
• Knowledge of SAP IBP time-series planning, including Demand Planning and Supply Planning.
• Experience in global supply chain transformation programs.
• SAP IBP certification is an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

8+ years of overall SAP experience, including substantial hands‑on SAP IBP experience and proven leadership in oBP implementations.
