Key Responsibilities

• Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned SAP Interface Lead to own the end-to-end integration strategy, solution design, build, and operations for complex SAP landscapes (ECC/S/4HANA) across on‑premise and cloud ecosystems.
• The role leads a global team (onshore/offshore), partners with enterprise architects, and ensures integrations are secure, scalable, standardized, and cost‑effective—covering A2A, B2B/EDI, APIs, event-driven, and data integrations.
• Strategy Architecture Define and govern the SAP integration reference architecture spanning SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP Process Orchestration/PI/PO, API Management, Event Mesh, BTP services, and non-SAP middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
• Establish integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, pub/sub) aligned to business SLAs, security, and compliance requirements. Lead interface rationalization, modernization (PO → CPI), and cloud migration roadmaps; own TCO/ROI for integration platforms.
• Solution Design Delivery Own end-to-end design for IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, OData/REST/SOAP APIs, Proxy/Web Services, EDI (ANSI X12 / EDIFACT) via B2B add-on/partner networks, and event-driven flows (Event Mesh/Kafka).
• Translate functional requirements into canonical data models, mappings, orchestrations, and error‑handling frameworks. Review and approve HLDs/LLDs, integration security designs (OAuth2/SAML/mTLS), reprocessing/alerting and observability models. Guide CI/CD for integrations (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, transport automation, unit/integration testing, canary releases). Run Operations Establish interface monitoring SLAs via SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF), CPI monitoring, PO/SMICM/SMQ2, and external observability (e.g., Dynatrace/Splunk).
• Own incident/problem/change management; lead major incident triage and RCA for integration failures.
• Maintain interface catalog/CMDB, versioning, and documentation; drive continuous improvement/backlog.
• Leadership Governance Lead and mentor a multi-vendor, onshore/offshore integration team (architects, developers, analysts).
• Run design authorities, coding standards, and security reviews; ensure adherence to data privacy and segregation of duties. Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Basis, and Business Process leads to ensure cohesive delivery. Stakeholder Management Engage with business and product teams to define non-functional requirements (throughput, latency, resilience).
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and cutover plans; ensure success across build, SIT, UAT, and hypercare.
• Required Qualifications Experience 15+ years in SAP integration with at least 5+ years leading integration teams/projects across ECC/S/4HANA. Deep hands-on expertise in SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and/or SAP PO/PI; strong API Management experience. Proven delivery of complex hybrid integrations (on‑prem + cloud), including B2B/EDI and event-driven architecture (SAP Event Mesh/Kafka). Strong in IDoc, RFC/BAPI, OData/REST/SOAP, Proxies, AIF, mapping (XSLT/Graphical/Message Mapping), error handling, retries, and idempotency.
• Solid grounding in security (OAuth2, mTLS, SAML, JWT), networking (DMZ, reverse proxy), and performance engineering. Experience with CI/CD, version control, test automation, and DevOps for integration. Delivery in Agile/Scaled Agile environments; managing partners/vendors and global teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
