Job summary

The AES Group is seeking an SAP HANA Database Administrator to manage and optimize SAP HANA environments. The role focuses on installation, administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, upgrades, and system monitoring.

The ideal candidate will handle production incidents, ensure database availability and collaborate with global support teams. Work from our Bengaluru/Hyderabad office on a five-day-per-week schedule with rotational shifts.

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled SAP HANA Database Administrators to manage, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP HANA database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP HANA installation, administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, database upgrades, and system monitoring.

Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling critical production incidents while ensuring database availability, stability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP HANA databases, including SAP HANA 2.0 MDC environments.
• Perform SAP HANA database upgrades, patching, and client upgrades.
• Manage database startup and shutdown activities during maintenance windows.
• Configure and monitor database backups using Backint and SAP HANA tools.
• Perform database recovery and point-in-time recovery for MDC and non-MDC systems.
• Monitor database health, alerts, resource utilization, and performance using SAP HANA Studio.
• Troubleshoot CPU, memory, backup, and database performance-related issues.
• Perform system health checks, parameter configuration, and performance analysis using trace files.
• Manage database users, roles, authorizations, licenses, and audit logs.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and database recovery procedures.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, technical service requests, change management, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in technical migrations, infrastructure improvements, and operational optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with global support teams.
