Overview
SAP Finance Controlling (FI/CO) Architect role at SGS & Co. We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP FI/CO Consultant to join our collaborative team supporting SAP Finance and Controlling efforts. This role involves full-cycle SAP implementation, support, and enhancement of financial systems to meet evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Customize SAP FICO solutions to meet business requirements and deliver full-cycle upgrades.
- Provide day-to-day support, resolve tickets within SLA timelines, and ensure system stability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
- Deliver post-go-live support and continuous process improvement.
- Maintain and analyze GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, FSCM-CM, DM, COPA, Cost center, profit center, and result analysis modules.
- Execute financial closing and reporting (New GL, Document Splitting, Parallel Accounting).
- Support integration with external financial systems and third-party applications.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and SAP best practices.
- Manage Cost Center Accounting (CCA) and profitability analysis.
- Generate reports and dashboards for recurring and transactional data.
- Collaborate with business teams to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation.
- Support Account to Report, Order to Cash, and Procure to Pay processes and their integration with FICO.
- Work with SAP MM, SD, and PP consultants to ensure seamless cross-module integration.
- Participate in SAP rollouts and system upgrades across global sites.
- Analyze pain points and propose automation or optimization solutions.
- Provide guidance on SAP S/4HANA migration and new FICO functionalities.
- Work with SAP master data, EDI/IDOC, BAPI, user exits, and custom solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to demonstrate and enable end-user solutions.
- Document configurations, enhancements, and process flows.
- Create specifications for custom programs, testing, cutover coordination, and post-go-live support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on Expertise in SAP FI, SAP CO.
- Strong understanding of SAP FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP, FI-AA New, COPA, PCA, RA, PS, CCA.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FSCM (AR) preferred.
- Customization experience on SAP Treasury - In-house cash, money markets preferred.
- Support SAP finance business functions such as accounts payable, billing, general ledger, end of day, month end closing and other finance activities.
- Cross-functional expertise and integration with other SAP core modules like OTC, P2P, AtR.
- Familiarity with SAP RISE, BW/BObj, BTP, Process Orchestration, SuccessFactors, ARIBA, Concur, BPC and other financial integrators like Vertex, OneSource, OpenText, etc.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, architectures, and tools including APIs, middleware, and ETL technologies.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment.
- Prior experience in professional services industry preferred.
- Experience with SAP integration across modules and external systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments and drive consensus.
