Job description

Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant / Business Analyst (Contract) with at least 10 years of hands-on SAP FICO expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong configuration and functional knowledge across FI and CO sub-modules and proven experience managing global stakeholders. This is a remote position based in India, but the consultant must work U.S. EST hours to collaborate with finance, IT, and business teams in North America.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with U.S. business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document finance & controlling requirements.
• Configure and support SAP FICO modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), Profitability Analysis (COPA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), and Profit Center Accounting (PCA).
• Ensure smooth integration of FICO with MM, SD, PP, HR, PS and other SAP modules.
• Lead and support month-end / year-end close activities and resolve critical system issues.
• Prepare functional specifications, collaborate with ABAP and technical teams for custom objects (RICEFW).
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and assist with UAT.
• Deliver end-user training, system documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, new functionalities, and S/4HANA Finance innovations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, driving process improvements and efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant / Business Analyst.
• Strong hands-on configuration skills in FI and CO sub-modules.
• Deep understanding of financial processes: record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, asset accounting, controlling, and profitability analysis.
• Experience in at least 2 full lifecycle implementations and multiple support/rollout projects.
• Proven track record of working with global teams across time zones.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contract role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or migration projects.
• Exposure to Fiori apps, Central Finance, and advanced reporting tools.
• Professional certifications in SAP FI/CO are a plus.
