Job summary

In2IT Enterprise Business Services in Delhi seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA FI/FICO Consultant with strong GL/AR/AP expertise and integration know-how with FI-MM and FI-SD. You will gather business requirements, translate them into detailed Functional Specifications, and collaborate with ABAP/technical teams to implement custom SAP solutions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Consultant with strong functional expertise in Financial Accounting (FI), particularly General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and integration with SAP Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD).

The ideal candidate should be confident in gathering business requirements, translating them into detailed Functional Specifications (FS), and collaborating with technical consultants to develop, test, and implement custom SAP solutions. The role requires close coordination with business stakeholders and technical teams while working from the client office in Delhi.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and support SAP S/4HANA Finance functionalities, primarily General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
• Manage financial accounting processes, including journal entries, account reconciliation, period-end closing, vendor accounting, and customer accounting.
• Handle integration between SAP FI and MM, including goods receipt, invoice receipt, GR/IR clearing, inventory accounting, and automatic account determination.
• Manage FI-SD integration, including billing-related accounting entries, revenue postings, tax postings, and customer account reconciliation.
• Gather and analyse business requirements through discussions with business users and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into detailed Functional Specifications (FS) for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and other developments.
• Coordinate with ABAP and other technical consultants to explain functional requirements, clarify business logic, and support the development of custom solutions.
• Review technical deliverables against functional specifications and ensure they meet business requirements.
• Prepare functional design documents, process documentation, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform functional testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), resolve defects, and coordinate implementation activities.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot functional issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Work closely with finance, procurement, sales, and IT teams to ensure seamless end-to-end business process integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA FI/FICO.
• Excellent knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Practical experience in SAP FI-MM and FI-SD integration.
• Strong understanding of automatic account determination and financial posting processes.
• Proven ability to gather business requirements and prepare detailed Functional Specifications.
• Experience coordinating with ABAP developers and technical consultants for custom SAP developments.
• Understanding of RICEF objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Experience in functional testing, UAT, defect resolution, and production support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work from the Client office in Delhi and coordinate directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, or support projects.
• Knowledge of Universal Journal (ACDOCA), SAP Fiori applications, and S/4HANA finance processes.
• Experience in independently managing functional requirements and custom development delivery.
• SAP FI/FICO certification would be an added advantage.
