Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA functional consultant with 8+ years of ERP delivery experience, focusing on finance modules and complex public sector environments. The role emphasizes balance between standard SAP capabilities and organization-specific needs.

You will collaborate with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical SAP solutions within regulatory and donor-funded contexts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of SAP functional consulting or ERP process delivery experience within the relevant business domain.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA capabilities and standard processes relevant to the assigned domain.
• Strong understanding of industry-standard business processes and how they are supported in SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with public sector organizations, international institutions, development banks, or similarly complex environments is preferred.
• Ability to balance SAP S/4HANA standard capabilities with unique organizational needs and practical solutions.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA functional testing, defect resolution, process validation, and configuration activities.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for enhancements and custom developments.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders.

Skills :

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Cash Management capabilities
• Experience supporting financial closing, reconciliation, financial reporting, treasury operations, and financial control processes within complex organizations
• Understanding of integrated finance processes across procurement, receivables, treasury, payroll, projects, funds, grants, and reporting functions
• Understanding of financial operating models involving member capital subscriptions, donor funding, external funds, grants, pledges, trust funds, or similar institutional funding structures
• Familiarity with regulated, audit-sensitive, multi-entity, and multi-currency financial operating environments is preferred
• Ability to align specialized institutional financial management requirements with SAP standard capabilities and leading practices
