Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting in Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to drive finance and controlling solutions within SAP ECC 6.0 and future SAP S/4HANA Finance projects.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and support GL, AP, AR, AA, COPA, and integration points with MM/SD/PP, ensuring data integrity and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

• Proactive and experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our SAP team and drive the successful implementation, enhancement, and support of Finance and Controlling solutions within SAP ECC 6.0.
  
• Strong functional expertise, configuration experience, and the ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient financial solutions that support organizational objectives.
  
• Configure, implement, and support SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
  
• Analyze business requirements and optimize financial and controlling processes for manufacturing and enterprise environments.
  
• Design, configure, and support integrations between SAP FICO and other SAP modules, including MM, SD, and PP.
  
• Develop and maintain interfaces with external financial systems, banking platforms, and reporting tools.
  
• Collaborate with business users, functional teams, and project stakeholders within Agile delivery environments.
  
• Take ownership of SAP FICO solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from requirement gathering and solution design to deployment and business adoption.
  
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data across systems and processes.
  
• Support period-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting requirements, and process improvements.
  
• Prepare functional specifications, system documentation, user training materials, and provide ongoing user support.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 FICO configuration, implementation, rollout, and support projects.
  
• Deep understanding of SAP Finance (FI) modules, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting and Payment Processing
  
• Strong expertise in SAP Controlling (CO), including: Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (COPA)
  
• Experience with financial closing processes, tax configuration, automatic payment programs, and financial reporting.
  
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration points with: MM (GR/IR and procurement processes), SD (billing and revenue recognition), PP (production costing and manufacturing accounting)
  
• Experience managing financial master data, including GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and internal orders.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New Asset Accounting, and financial transformation initiatives.
  
• SAP FICO certification or related SAP credentials.
  
• Exposure to SAP Fiori applications, embedded analytics, and modern reporting solutions.
  
• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial business environments.
