Job summary

Qualifications

Job Title: SAP Executives Solar Cell Manufacturing

Location: Ramayapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (Location near to Nellore, AP)

About the client: INDOSOL Solar Private Limited is a Special Project Vehicle (SPV) of Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), who is a leading Indian Conglomerate (Manufacturing B2B) in Transformer manufacturing, headquartered in Hyderabad. Having qualified in PLI (Production linked incentive) scheme through MNRE, Government of India is keenly materializing to set-up 10GW Integrated PV manufacturing for the entire value chain (Polysilicon, ingot, wafer, cell, Module & Glass manufacturing).

Key Accountabilities

• Production Planning & Control (PP): Manage end-to-end solar cell production routing, capacity planning, and multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Material Management (MM): Oversee procurement of wafers, silver/aluminum paste, screens, quartz & graphite boat management, chemicals, squeegee, etc. Track lot/batch genealogy to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Quality Management (QM): Configure and maintain the SAP-QM module to log incoming wafer inspections, in-process cell testing, and final FQA results.
• Plant Maintenance (PM): Track equipment downtime, manage spare parts, and schedule preventive maintenance on critical tools like diffusion furnaces and PECVD machines.
• Financial & Cost Controlling (FI/CO): Ensure accurate product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for solar cell operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align SAP workflows with shop-floor execution systems (MES) and train plant operators on SAP transaction codes
• Wafer Lot Genealogy: Set up end-to-end batch tracking to trace finished cell performance back to the specific silicon ingot, wafer lot, and chemical batch used.
• Inline Inspection Mapping: Integrate automated inline inspection data—such as minority carrier lifetime, film thickness, and micro-crack detection—into SAP QM inspection lots.
• Efficiency Binning: Configure automated material grading in SAP to instantly sort finished cells into distinct inventory categories based on their final conversion efficiency percentage.
• SAP PP-PI Expertise: Deep knowledge of Process Orders, Material Quantity Calculation (MQC), and Process Management (PI-PCS interface) rather than discrete manufacturing.
• MES Integration: Direct experience linking SAP with shop-floor Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) specifically designed for cell lines (e.g., Applied Materials/Applied Automation, Critical Manufacturing, or custom semiconductor MES).
• Yield Loss Accounting: Advanced skills in configuring SAP to capture scrap at intermediate chemical stages rather than just final inspection.

Education & Experience

• Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; or Diploma with experience in large scale manufacturing environment.
• Experience: 2-5 years in manufacturing with hands-on expertise in SAP PP/MM/QM modules, ideally within the renewable energy or semiconductor sector or steel or chemicals or pharma industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, MRP execution, and data-led MIS reporting.
