Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in delivery or project management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or cloud) across multiple modules.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or large-scale rollouts.
• Proficiency with Jira, MS Project, or ServiceNow and agile methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP delivery lifecycle from planning through cutover, ensuring timelines, quality, and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants, partners, and offshore resources; oversee design, fit-gap, testing, and go-live planning.
• Engage with Business Process Owners, PMOs, and domain leads; translate progress for senior stakeholders and act as escalation point.
• Drive governance, delivery strategy, and SAP Activate or Agile methodologies; support pre-sales when required.

Job description

An SAP Delivery Lead is a senior project management role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of SAP implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

The SAP Delivery Lead manages comprehensive project delivery activities, including:

Project & Program Management:

Leading the complete delivery lifecycle from planning through cutover, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgets. This involves defining project scope in collaboration with key stakeholders, managing project milestones and dependencies, aligning project delivery to contractual commitments, and monitoring delivery performance through metrics and status reporting.

Team & Vendor Coordination:

Managing consultants, external partners, and offshore resources to ensure effective collaboration and accountability. The role includes overseeing solution design, fit-gap analysis, functional specifications, testing strategy, and go-live planning. The delivery lead is responsible for timely identification and resolution of delivery issues and risks

Stakeholder Management:

Working closely with Business Process Owners, PMOs, and other domain leads to align delivery with operational needs. This includes translating delivery progress into clear updates for senior stakeholders and serving as the escalation point for critical issues.

Governance & Strategy:

Driving project governance, delivery strategy, and ensuring adherence to SAP Activate or Agile delivery methodologies. The role may also involve supporting pre-sales activities and RFP responses when required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

SAP Delivery Lead requires:

Experience:

Between 5 to 8+ years of total SAP experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a delivery or project management role.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or cloud) and associated technologies. Experience managing end-to-end SAP implementations or large-scale rollouts across multiple modules (Business Technology Platform, Analytics, at least 2 out of the following modules: Finance, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning).

Project Management:

Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or ServiceNow. In-depth knowledge of agile project management methodologies and frameworks.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments managing multiple concurrent projects.
