Job summary

3M India Limited is seeking a SAP DVM Lead in Bengaluru, Bengaluru - Hybrid. You will lead SAP data archiving initiatives, collaborate with global teams, and ensure compliant data lifecycle operations across SAP/VIM and OpenText environments.

The role requires 7+ years in IT with SAP data archiving experience, strong collaboration across SAP Basis, Security, Development, and Release teams, and a proven supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• 7+ years IT experience including SAP data archiving and batch job deployment with SAP ArchiveLink and SAP ILM.
• Familiarity with OpenText Archive Server and Content Server search, incl. SAP ECC/S/4HANA, VIM, SAP ecosystems.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience with task assignment, progress tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• 5+ years in SAP data archiving, record keeping, and OpenText systems (Archive Server, Content Server, Enterprise Scan, SAP VIM, OTDS, Web Reporting, AWS).
• Strong data archiving, retention management, content disposition, SQL, ETL, AES lifecycle support, and compliance (SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Manage DVM deliverables including data archiving, record retention, compliance, and OpenText/SAP-VIM integration.
• Support ILM and ECM workstreams; assign tasks and track completion.
• Lead DVM projects in TCOE including SAP data archiving, lifecycle maintenance, and SAP/VIM upgrades.
• Collaborate with vendors, process leads and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and document DVM tools; support AWS stack activities with AES and Infrastructure teams.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The SAP DVM Lead will be primarily responsible for leading SAP Data Volume Management project deliverables, including understanding business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, mapping requirements to existing IT process solutions, and identifying and managing gaps, change impacts, processes, jobs, and objects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of SAP/OpenText system integration for data archiving, along with extensive collaboration with business process SMEs, core and extended project team members, and cross-functional teams across SAP Basis, SAP Security, Development/WRICEF, Process Integration, QA/Testing, Cutover, and Release Management.

Your roles and responsibilities

• Manage DVM SAP deliverables, including data archiving, record retention, compliance, and OpenText/SAP-VIM integration.
• Support ILM and ECM workstreams, assign tasks to DVM team members, and track completion.
• Lead DVM projects in TCOE, including SAP data archiving, lifecycle maintenance, and SAP/VIM upgrades.
• Collaborate with vendors, business partners, process leads, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and document DVM tools while supporting AWS application stack activities with AES and Infrastructure teams.

Your Skills and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Minimum of seven (7) years of Information Technology experience, including SAP data archiving and batch job creation and deployment using SAP ArchiveLink and SAP ILM.
• Familiarity with OpenText Archive Server and Content Server document search, including integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, VIM, and SAP ecosystems.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience, including task assignment, progress tracking, team coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP data archiving, record keeping, and OpenText systems, including Archive Server, Content Server, Enterprise Scan, SAP VIM, OTDS, Web Reporting, AWS, or similar repositories.
• Strong experience in data/document archiving, retention management, archived content disposition, SQL, ETL, ECM/AES application lifecycle support, and compliance/validation such as SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, and HIPAA.
• Detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving, documentation, interpersonal, presentation, written communication, collaboration, and technical solution evaluation skills.
