Job summary

Optimum Solutions is seeking an experienced SAP CRM technical developer in Hyderabad. You will design, build, and support CRM WebClient UI, BOL, GenIL, and ABAP components for project and BAU work.

You will collaborate with SAP architects, functional consultants, and offshore teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions and drive production support and continuous improvement across SAP CRM and IS-U environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP CRM technical development experience including CRM WebClient UI, BOL and GenIL.
• Advanced ABAP development skills covering OO, reports, RFCs, BAPIs, workflows, and enhancements.
• Experience with SAP CRM processes like contract accounts, customer interaction, and service requests.
• Working knowledge of SAP IS-U integration and SAP NetWeaver Gateway/OData.
• Ability to design technical solutions, review code, and follow secure coding standards.
• Strong debugging, testing, and production support capabilities.
• Familiar with agile delivery tools and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP CRM solutions in line with approved business and technical requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and established development practices.
• Develop and enhance SAP CRM WebClient UI components, business objects, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, workflows, interfaces, reports, and custom ABAP objects required for project and BAU delivery.
• Collaborate with SAP architects, functional consultants, business analysts, integration teams, and onshore and offshore delivery teams to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain Technical Design Documents, unit test evidence, code review records, deployment instructions, and operational support documentation for new and changed solutions.
• Perform technical analysis, debugging, root-cause investigation, defect resolution, performance optimization, and production support across SAP CRM and integrated SAP IS-U environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, solution walkthroughs, design reviews, estimation activities, release planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live hypercare support.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP CRM technical development, including CRM WebClient UI, Business Object Layer (BOL), Generic Interaction Layer (GenIL), component workbench, navigation, views, context nodes, and enhancement sets.
• Advanced SAP ABAP development skills covering object-oriented ABAP, reports, function modules, RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, workflows, enhancement frameworks, BAdIs, APIs, and interface development.
• Experience in SAP CRM business processes such as contract accounts, customer interaction, service requests, activities, business partner management, product and contract management, and utilities-related processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP IS-U integration, SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services, SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite, middleware monitoring, and interfaces with Salesforce or other digital platforms.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical designs, conduct design walkthroughs, perform peer code reviews, follow secure coding standards, and ensure compliance with SAP development guidelines.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capability across CRM transactions, WebClient UI, middleware queues, background jobs, workflows, interfaces, and custom developments.
• Experience with unit testing, system integration testing support, regression testing, defect management, release deployment, cutover activities, and production hypercare.
• Sound understanding of Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, or equivalent test and change management platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, documentation, estimation, prioritization, and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
• Experience in utilities or energy industry processes and customer-service transformation programs is highly desirable.
