Maersk seeks an experienced SAP Basis DevOps Engineer to join the SAP Platform team. You will blend SAP Basis expertise with modern DevOps to automate, secure, and scale SAP landscapes across on‑premises and cloud environments.
The role covers SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and PA/PO pipelines, driving IaC, monitoring, CI/CD, and capacity planning while ensuring reliability and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/IT or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least four SAP technologies/products.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and PO.
- Lead SAP platform operations, transports, upgrades, and patching.
- Drive IaC, automation, and self-healing capabilities for SAP workloads.
- Support CI/CD practices and deployment automation for SAP services.
- Define SLIs/SLOs, monitor dashboards, and participate in on-call incidents.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis DevOps Engineer to join our SAP Platform team. The role combines deep SAP Basis expertise with modern DevOps practices, focusing on platform engineering, automation, operational excellence, reliability, security, and continuous improvement across SAP landscapes.
The engineer will be responsible for managing, optimizing , automating, and securing SAP systems running on-premises and cloud platforms while enabling faster and more reliable delivery of SAP services.

Ensure platform availability, performance, security, and compliance.
Lead incident resolution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
Manage SAP transports, system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and patching activities.
Plan and execute SAP upgrades, migrations, and technical lifecycle management activities.
Drive Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ), automation, and self-healing capabilities for SAP operations.

Support compliance requirements, audits, and security assessments.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to implement secure platform standards.
Manage SAP workloads hosted on Azure, GCP, or other cloud environments.
Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP HANA and Oracle databases.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize compute, storage, and network resources.
Identify opportunities for service improvement and standardization.
Contribute to monitoring modernization, dashboard automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Document technical procedures, standards, and operational runbooks.
Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or related field.
- 7-10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
- Hands-on experience supporting at least four SAP technologies/products.
- Strong experience supporting large enterprise SAP environments.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery models.
