Job summary

TELUS Digital in India is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to manage the health, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of SAP systems. The role involves change management, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning for SAP environments.

You will work with SAP Basis, GRC tooling, and SOX requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient operations in a hybrid office model (Noida/Bengaluru, 1–2 days/week).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create roles, profiles, user IDs and custom authorization objects in SAP.
• Manage privileged access IDs and perform access reviews for usage.
• Perform risk analysis using GRC to identify risks and ensure segregation of duty and authorization for sensitive access.
• Provide general IT security controls provisioning, administration, and maintenance for other corporate applications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive business and technical documentation for security components of applications and interfaces.
• Adhere to IT policies, procedures, methodologies and standards to ensure Plexus architecture principles are followed.
• Apply problem-solving skills to evaluate problems, identify root causes and develop resolution options.
• Participate in on-call support rotation as required.

The Opportunity

As SAP Basis Administration, responsible for the operational health and performance of SAP systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. This includes tasks like system installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security management. They also play a crucial role in change management, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Create roles, profiles, user ID's and custom authorization objects in SAP.
• Manage privileged access IDs and perform access reviews for usage.
• Perform risk analysis using GRC to identify risks and work with stakeholders to resolve risks and ensure segregation of duty (SoD) and authorization for sensitive access.
• Provide general IT security controls provisioning, administration, and maintenance for other corporate applications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive business and technical documentation for the security components of application and interface environments.
• Adhere to the IT policies and procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure that Plexus architecture principles and technical standards are followed.
• Effectively apply problem-solving skills and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify impact and root causes, and develop action plans and resolution options
• Participate in on call support rotation as required

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration work experience
• Responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications.
• Involve working with SAP Basis Administration, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with a cross-functional team.
• Knowledge of database products DB2 or Oracle or HANA
• Skilled Information Technology professional specialized in SAP Basis Administration,
• Network administration, development, implementation of business systems.
• Proficiency in User Administration, Background Job processing, System Monitoring, preparation of Daily Report,
• Profile Maintenance, Database Management concepts.
• Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA project implementation with an excellent communication skill, ability to
• easily learn and adapt to new technologies in a short time.
• All requests for SAP Access received by Service Provider through various customer channels are owned by the SAP Security Team. SLA achievement is measured against requirements listed below. Total case ownership is a requirement and Service provider will assume responsibility of SLA performance. See non-exhaustive expectations for SLA / XLA below.
• Service Provider personnel required to have a minimum 3 year work experience utilizing the SAP GRC tool
• Service Provider to adhere to all Global MICS / SOX requirements and provide evidence of adherence to internal and external auditors
• SAP Security receives approximately 10,000 requests annually
• SAP Security support is looking to implement end to end automation through GRC and integration with Workday
• SAP certification(s) in relevant modules is mandatory
