Shift Details

Consultant needs to work in multiple shifts: 6AM to 2PM or 2PM to 10PM or 10PM to 6AM. Shift needs to swap based on project requirement and needs to have good communication skills.

Technical Responsibilities

SAP Basis Technical for Traditional AMS Services. Excellent Communication skills.

Must have: SAP Administration, Support packages, Printer config, BEx installation, Solution Manager.

Will need to support ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP BODS systems.

Good to have: Azure, cloud, Sybase & MAXDB database.

Preferred: SAP Basis certifications.

Typical Years of Experience

• Typically requires 2+ years relevant experience.

Minimum Education and Certifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of system development methodology, project management and system architecture. Demonstrated analytical/problem solving skills.
• Ability to consider IT and business challenges.
• Solid influencing and communication skills. Ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources. Strong client service attitude.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Significant travel including overnight domestic or international trips may be required.

Experience on Basis Activities

• Starting and stopping SAP instances as per requirements.
• Monitoring availability of SAP instances, Application servers.
• CCMS System Monitoring (General Monitoring Functions), Checking the operating system logs, System Log.
• Output Devices in the SAP Spool System, Checking Spool Output Requests for Errors.
• Checking Work Process Status and process loads, Checking for ABAP Short Dumps.
• Checking for Update Errors, Checking Lock Entries, Checking Batch Input Sessions.
• Checking Background Jobs, Checking Buffer status and Swaps.
• Checking RZ20 Alert monitor threshold exceptions including page in/out, CPU & memory utilization.
• Monitoring Offline/Online backups, Checking offline redo log files and monitoring archive log directory.
• Monitoring file system and database growth, TEMSE Check.
• Monitoring housekeeping jobs related to ABAP dump reorgs, spool reorg, performance collector etc.
• Monitoring system and database performance for response time, db. time, hit ratios etc.
• Checking operating system activity on CPU utilization, Paging etc.
• Locking/unlocking/revalidating users, User password resetting, SAP Frontend installation.
