Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Bengaluru seeks a senior ABAP/S/4HANA developer to drive end-to-end SAP projects. You will work on CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and advanced ABAP in complex landscapes with Fiori/UI5 integration.

Proficiency in OOABAP, ADT, RAP/BOPF, and SAP BTP CAP is expected, along with experience in Greenfield implementations and cloud basics. Strong understanding of FI/CO, SD, MM, or PP modules is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in S/4HANA development paradigms with CDS Views and AMDP.
• Experience in building and exposing OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 integration.
• Proficiency in OOABAP and the 7.5+ syntax.
• Deep knowledge of RICEFW including Adobe Forms and related tools.
• Experience with ATC for code remediation and performance tuning.
• End-to-end Greenfield implementation experience is required.
• Expert use of Eclipse/ADT and HANA Studio for development.
• Strong understanding of core modules and integration technologies (ALE/IDoc, RFCs, REST/SOAP).
• Experience with ABAP Unit Testing, TDD, and code governance.
• Familiarity with RAP or BOPF and SAP BTP CAP or side-by-side extensions.
• Knowledge of ABAP Cloud and cloud practitioner basics (AWS/Azure).
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud or embedded analytics.

Job description

• S/4HANA Development Paradigms: Hands-on expertise in CDS Views (Core Data Services) and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
• OData Services: Experience in building and exposing OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 integration.
• Advanced ABAP: Proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) and the new 7.5+ syntax.
• Classic RICEFW: Deep knowledge of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (especially Adobe Forms).
• S/4HANA Migration: Experience with custom code remediation, performance tuning, and tools like ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit).
• At least 1 end-to-end Greenfield implementation project experience
• Development Tools: Expert-level use of Eclipse/ADT (ABAP Development Tools) and HANA Studio.
• Functional Alignment: Solid understanding of at least two core modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP) to translate business needs into technical specs.
• Integration Technologies: Mastery of ALE/IDoc, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Testing & Quality: Implementation of ABAP Unit Testing, TDD (Test Driven Development), and code governance.
• Modern Programming Models: Strong proficiency in RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model) or BOPF.
