Job summary

Artmac Soft LLC in Bengaluru is seeking a SAP ABAP Technical Lead for a part-time/contract role. The position requires hands-on ABAP development, S/4HANA, CDS views, OData, REST, IDocs, and RESTful services.

You will lead ABAP development across implementations, enhancements, and support, and drive architecturealigned delivery. The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of SAP ABAP experience, knowledge of BAdIs and enhancement frameworks, and strong debugging/performance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 10-15 years of SAP ABAP experience.
• Experience leading ABAP development projects.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with integration technologies (OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc).

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP ABAP development across implementations, enhancements, and support.
• Design and develop scalable technical solutions using SAP ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Develop and maintain Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEF).
• Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA technical architecture and development practices.
• Develop and enhance BAdIs, user exits, Customer Exits, and enhancement frameworks.
• Develop and consume APIs, Web Services, RFCs, IDocs, and OData services for SAP and third-party integrations.
• Lead technical discussions with functional consultants, architects, business users, and other technology teams.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with RICEF development.
• Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP development.
• Experience with SAP development tools such as ADT/Eclipse
• Strong knowledge of OData, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, RFC, and IDoc.
• Experience with SAP integration and interface development.
• Experience with SAP modernization and legacy ABAP remediation
• Strong knowledge of BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework, and BADIs.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with SQL/Open SQL and database performance tuning.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 integration is an advantage.

• Ensure development follows SAP coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Lead technical discussions with functional consultants, architects, business users, and other technology teams.
