Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced ABAP Developer in Kolkata, India, to transform legacy SAP programs for S/4 HANA architecture. Candidates will work on designing and implementing CDS and AMDP solutions, and develop Adobe Forms for online/offline scenarios. The role offers significant opportunities for contributions across various technologies, including integration with Power BI and operational support for development projects.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in creating and extending RAP BOs in Managed and Unmanaged scenarios.
• Experience in creating 2-level drill-down custom applications.

Job description

Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 6)

• Strong hands-on experience in creating and extending RAP BOs with both Managed and Unmanaged scenarios.
• Experience in creating at least 2-level drill-down custom applications with at least one parent-childrelationship.
• Must have experience in API calling and handling deep structures in API calls.
• Strong hands-on development experience in OOPS ABAP.
• Strong knowledge and working experience with New ABAP syntaxes, Adobe Forms, AMDP, CDS, ALV, BADI, andBAPI.
• Experience with Enhancements such as BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Spots.
• Good understanding of SAP’s clean core architecture and approach.
• Sound knowledge of performance optimization and SAP best practices in the ABAP area.

Good-to-Have

• Experience or knowledge in Professional Services development.
• SAP Build knowledge.
• Development experience on SAP BTP.
• Work experience in S/4 HANA Public Cloud.

Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role

• Transform traditional ABAP programs in legacy SAP systems into S/4 HANA architecture.
• Design and implement CDS and AMDP based on business requirements.
• Adobe Forms development in S/4 HANA (Online and Offline scenarios).
• Compile Technical Specification documents for all developments.
• Perform end-to-end unit testing of all applications.
• Ability to work with business users in day-to-day operational support.
