Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP developer to join our Pan-India delivery. You will design, develop, and optimize ABAP RAP solutions, expose OData services, and work with Fiori/UI5 teams to deliver end-to-end SAP projects.

Key focus areas include CDS views, AMDP, HANA optimization, and clean-core compliance, with exposure to MM, SD, FI, PP, and EWM processes. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP ABAP RAP development experience.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with S/4HANA, CDS, AMDP, and OData exposure.
• Experience in performance tuning, clean-core, and ATC checks.
• Familiarity with MM, SD, FI, PP, and EWM processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ABAP RAP solutions.
• Build/optimize CDS views, AMDP logic, and HANA-optimized code.
• Expose RAP-based BOs and OData services.
• Develop and maintain RICEF objects and forms.
• Ensure standards, security, governance, and clean-core adherence.
• Collaborate with Fiori/UI5 teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct unit tests, code reviews, and performance tuning.
• Prepare technical docs and support SIT/UAT/go-live activities.

Requirements*

• 5-10 years of strong hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP RAP.
• Strong ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical

solutions.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong expertise in:

ABAP OO, Classical ABAP, RICEF objects

S/4HANA development CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL optimization,

code pushdown

RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) – CDS‑based modeling, BDEF,

behavior implementations, service bindings

OData Services (SEGW, RAP‑based exposure) and API integrations

• Solid understanding of SAP Clean Core principles and development of cleancore‑compliant custom objects.
• Knowledge of EML (Entity Manipulation Language)
• Experience with:

Enhancements – BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, custom

field & custom logic app.

• Understanding of BTP (BAS) studio.

issue resolution.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and knowledge

transfer materials.

• Support SIT, UAT, go‑live, and post‑go‑live activities.
