Job summary

ELIXIR Global is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant to join our SAP S/4HANA team in India. You will design, develop, and support ABAP-based solutions leveraging RAP, CDS Views, and OData services.

The role requires strong debugging skills and collaboration with functional teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience, proficiency in RAP, and familiarity with S/4HANA and Fiori Elements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA.
• Hands-on experience with CDS Views, CDS Annotations, and RAP-based development.
• Experience with OData Services (preferably OData V4).
• Experience with Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA development and Fiori Elements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP on HANA.
• Design and develop applications using RAP.
• Develop and implement CDS Views and CDS-based data models.
• Create and maintain RAP Behavior Definitions and Implementations.
• Develop Service Definitions and Service Bindings for exposing services.
• Develop and consume OData services (preferably OData V4).
• Work on both Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios.
• Develop applications and services for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants and other teams; provide debugging and issue resolution.
• Optimize ABAP programs for performance and follow SAP standards.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including strong hands‑on experience in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and SAP S/4HANA.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in modern ABAP development, CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based application development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP solutions in an S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP on HANA.
• Design and develop applications using SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Develop and implement CDS Views and CDS-based data models.
• Create and maintain RAP Behavior Definitions and Behavior Implementations.
• Develop Service Definitions and Service Bindings for exposing business services.
• Develop and consume OData services, preferably OData V4.
• Work on both Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios.
• Develop applications and services for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Work with Fiori Elements and support integration with RAP-based backend services.
• Perform technical analysis, development, unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and provide technical support.
• Optimize existing ABAP programs and ensure efficient application performance.
• Follow SAP development standards and best practices.
• Support technical documentation, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
