Job summary

Sopra Steria Bangalore is seeking a senior SAP ABAP developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and optimize SAP ABAP solutions. You will work on DDIC objects, reports, interfaces, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and forms, with exposure to SAP UI5 and S4HANA on HANA.

You will join an international, multi-functional team and contribute to agile projects. Strong debugging skills, analytical mindset, and customer-facing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong debugging and code optimization skills.
• Experience with interfaces: ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, OData.
• Familiarity with DDIC, reports, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, forms.
• Knowledge of MM/PP/QM modules is preferred.

Job Description

Qualification & Experience:

As an senior SAP ABAP developer, he/she should understand business processes, technical architecture of SAP landscape and define/suggest SAP best practices and Golden rules. Your area of responsibility will extend to development, root cause analysis, performance improvement and source code auditing.

He/She needs to have a strong customer focus. The candidate will work in an international, distributed and multi-functional team; using an agile mind-set and methodology.

• 1) Graduate with 4+ years of experience in SAP ABAP.
• 2) Expertise in DDIC, reports, interfaces, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, forms.
• 3) Excellent debugging skills. Ablility to analyse code and suggest improvements.
• 4) Interfaces: ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, OData
• 5) Good to have exposure to S4HANA and ABAP on HANA
• 6) Understanding of business process, functional and technical knowledge preferably in MM, PP, QM modules
• 7) Experience/knowledge in UI5 would be an added advantage
• 8) Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• 9) Experience in Agile Scrum/Safe methodologies is preferred
• 10)Experience in Customer facing roles
