JobCrexa is seeking an Expert SAP ABAP Consultant to lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP solutions in Pune. The ideal candidate has 10–14 years of hands-on ABAP experience, deep knowledge of S/4HANA, CDS Views, and Fiori/UI5, with a track record of performance tuning and complex problem solving.

You will collaborate with functional teams, implement enhancements, support migrations, and create technical design documents.

Qualifications

• 10 to 14 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Deep expertise in ABAP programming, debugging, and custom development.
• Strong experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA Native SQL.
• Proficient in SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.
• Experience implementing User Exits, BADI, BTE, Enhancement Framework.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Able to collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP implementations and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Debug and optimize batch jobs, function modules, reports, and background processes.
• Develop object-oriented ABAP solutions using modern SAP development standards.
• Implement high-performance ABAP code for scalability and efficiency.
• Build CDS Views, AMDP programs, and HANA-optimized solutions.
• Create SAP Fiori/UI5 apps and OData services for modern UX.
• Support S/4HANA transformations and migration of legacy developments.
• Ensure code quality with reviews and adherence to SAP standards.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate requirements.
• Prepare technical design docs and development specifications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Perform debugging, analysis, and troubleshooting of batch jobs, function modules, reports, and background processing issues.
• Develop object-oriented ABAP solutions using modern SAP development standards.

Expertise You'll Bring

• 10 to 14 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming, debugging, and custom development.
• Extensive experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Hands-on experience in ABAP on HANA concepts including CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA Native SQL.
• Strong development experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.
• Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP and SAP enhancement techniques.
• Experience implementing User Exits, BADI, BTE, Enhancement Framework, and custom enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts, and output management.
• Experience developing and supporting SAP workflows.
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
• Expertise in code quality reviews, performance analysis, and optimization methodologies.
• Experience performing ABAP Unit Testing and ensuring application reliability.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP implementation, upgrade, and transformation programs.
