Job summary

Good co India is seeking a seasoned Salesforce Engineering Lead to direct a team of Salesforce engineers in India. The role focuses on setting technical direction, architecture, and development standards while delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, security, and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Salesforce development and engineering, with relevant experience leading teams or technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce APIs, and Salesforce platform architecture.
• Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud/CPQ, or industry-specific Salesforce solutions.
• Experience with Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware such as MuleSoft.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Salesforce DevOps/release management.

• Own the Salesforce engineering strategy, architecture, development standards, and technical roadmap.
• Design and oversee scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Review technical designs, Apex code, LWC implementations, integrations, and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.
• Drive development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, and declarative Salesforce capabilities.
• Lead Salesforce integrations with internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD, source control, release management, and DevOps practices using Salesforce DX and appropriate tooling.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, data integrity, and maintainability.
• Drive Salesforce deployment, release planning, environment management, and production readiness.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural gaps and drive their resolution.
• Establish engineering metrics and continuously improve development quality, productivity, and delivery processes.
• Manage technical projects, priorities, resources, timelines, and delivery commitments.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop Salesforce engineers while fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Partner with enterprise architecture and security teams to ensure alignment with organizational technology standards.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform releases and evaluate new capabilities to improve business solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Salesforce development and engineering, with relevant experience leading teams or technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce APIs, and Salesforce platform architecture.
• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions and integrations.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and governor limits.
• Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud/CPQ, or industry-specific Salesforce solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware such as MuleSoft.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Salesforce DevOps/release management.
• Good understanding of system design, design patterns, application architecture, performance optimization, and cloud technologies.
• Experience managing technical teams, including mentoring, hiring, performance management, resource planning, and career development.
• Strong ability to collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing multiple priorities and delivery timelines.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with people and delivery management.
• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; MCA/M.Tech or equivalent technical qualification is also acceptable.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Platform App Builder, Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
