Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement Salesforce declarative solutions, customizations, applications, extensions, and integrations that support multiple enterprise platforms and products.
• Architect scalable Salesforce and Data Cloud solutions, translating complex business and data requirements into secure, resilient technical designs.
• Design advanced data integrations across Salesforce, Data Cloud, GCP, and enterprise platforms using APIs, Change Data Capture (CDC), Platform Events, batch, streaming, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Design and implement Salesforce Data Cloud capabilities, including data ingestion, DLOs/DMOs, Identity Resolution and Identity Graphs, unified customer profiles, segmentation, calculated insights, and data activation.
• Define secure Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, and authorization patterns using OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML, SSO, Connected Apps, Named Credentials, certificates, roles, Permission Sets, and least-privilege principles.
• Implement enterprise data protection patterns including encryption at rest/in transit, Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption, BYOK, key management, tokenization, and data masking.
• Design and integrate scalable GCP data solutions leveraging BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Dataproc, and related data services.
• Apply modern data engineering practices across ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, data modeling, data quality, lineage, governance, observability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Perform code and architecture reviews, pair programming, and continuous refactoring while improving engineering standards, reusable components, automation, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Data teams throughout the solution lifecycle; facilitate technical discussions, evaluate alternative approaches, and drive issues to resolution.
• Evaluate emerging Salesforce, Data Cloud, GCP, AI/ML, and Generative AI capabilities and identify opportunities for responsible enterprise adoption.
• Promote inner sourcing, knowledge sharing, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, with strong foundations in software engineering, architecture, object-oriented programming, and enterprise solution design.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience architecting, designing, developing, and configuring Salesforce, with deep understanding of platform capabilities, limitations, security, scalability, and governor limits.
• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce technologies including Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, sObjects, triggers, controllers, REST/SOAP APIs, Bulk APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and JSON.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including data ingestion and modeling, DLOs/DMOs, Identity Resolution, Identity Graphs, unified profiles, segmentation, calculated insights, and activation.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise IAM, authentication, authorization, and data security concepts including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML, SSO, RBAC, Salesforce security controls, encryption, BYOK, key management, tokenization, and data masking.
• Experience with GCP data engineering technologies including BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Dataproc, and SQL, Python and/or Java.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and distributed data architectures, including ETL/ELT, batch/stream processing, data modeling, data quality, metadata, lineage, governance, resiliency, and observability.
• Experience integrating Salesforce and cloud/data platforms through scalable API-based and event-driven architectures, with understanding of performance, API limits, idempotency, error handling, and data consistency.
• 3+ years of experience with additional software engineering technologies such as Java, .NET, SOA, web services, databases, or other object‑oriented development technologies.
• Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, and production support across Salesforce and cloud environments.
• Ability to analyse complex business requirements, architect and estimate solutions at various scales, communicate technical trade‑offs, and collaborate effectively with diverse technical and non-technical partners.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
