Position Overview

The Senior Business Systems Administrator – Specialty – Salesforce works directly with key users of Salesforce to ensure maximum efficiency and capitalize on the full features and benefits of the tool. This role is based on various organization needs that drive improvements to enable teams to achieve strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Business Applications Leadership and Internal Stakeholders to identify needed system changes and partner on adoption and change management.
  • Manage new releases of Salesforce and efficiently roll out new features.
  • Demonstrate a disciplined change‑control process.
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, Flows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.
  • Configure and maintain Visualforce pages, Apex code and Lightning Components.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce CPQ environment.
  • Create new reporting capabilities and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests as needed.
  • Manage all processes that impact or relate to your application, Salesforce.
  • Responsible for configuration, design, functionality and end‑user support of the Salesforce application platform.
  • Identify production risks and areas for improvement; prioritize, design and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
  • Maintain system security and integrity.
  • Understand all integrations that exist within your tool set and how changes or enhancements may affect the AWN application ecosystem.
  • Reference and update (where applicable) existing documentation regarding Salesforce support and enhancement management.
  • Troubleshoot outages and produce root‑cause analysis reports as needed. Communicate updates to leaders and/or executive leadership during and after emergency outage windows.
  • Install new Managed Packages and tools within the Salesforce environment.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to strengthen relationships between Business Applications and primary stakeholders within the internal user community.
Experience & Requirements
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to understand our organization’s business and our Business Tool ecosystem.
  • Good grasp of connected business tools (Gainsight, Marketo, Outreach, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience managing individual work efforts as part of a Jira Sprint/Release process.
  • Collaborative and consultative abilities to work with non‑technical end users.
  • Aptitude for eliciting user requirements and developing both process and technical solutions.
  • Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Salesforce administration and/or development experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required.
  • Obtainment or pursuit of Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification or Platform Developer I Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ.
  • Willingness to continue growing through experience and/or study and certification.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of Salesforce.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Apex, SOQL and HTML.
  • Detail‑oriented and self‑starter with strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative and consultative abilities to work with non‑technical end users.
  • Aptitude for eliciting user requirements and developing both process and technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of the Lead‑to‑Book Sales lifecycle within a SaaS company.
  • Team player with a positive “can‑do” attitude.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance and tracking.
  • Minimum expectation of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook.
Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed while sitting or standing in an office environment.
  • Requires ability to use a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with device screens that require visual acuity.
  • If located in a company office, often requires the mobility to physically navigate the space.
  • In the event of business travel, mobility sufficient to use public and private transport and navigate essential locations.
  • May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g., office chair, reams of paper).
Travel Requirements

Typically 10% or less of business travel.
