What We Are Looking For
Must have
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an SDR, BDR or similar outbound role, selling software or SaaS to customers in the US market.
- Hands-on experience with cold calling, cold email and LinkedIn outreach, and with booking qualified meetings for a sales team.
- Clear, confident spoken and written English that works well on calls with US prospects.
- Experience researching accounts and building prospect lists with tools like Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo or similar.
- Working knowledge of a CRM and a sales engagement tool (for example Salesmate, HubSpot, Salesforce, Lemlist, Outreach or Salesloft).
- Comfort handling objections and running a short discovery conversation.
- Willingness to work from our Bangalore office on the US shift (6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST, Monday to Friday).
Good to have
- Exposure to selling into logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, supply chain or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ERP, TMS or workflow automation tools, or with document-heavy processes.
- Experience selling to operations leaders (COO, VP Operations, Director of Logistics).
- A record of improving messaging, sequences or processes in a previous role.
How you work
- Curious: you research deeply before you pick up the phone.
- Structured: you break a problem into parts and can explain your reasoning clearly.
- Ownership-driven: you do not wait to be told. You spot problems, bring solutions, and keep asking, "How can I make the company better?"
- Confident under pressure: you can defend your ideas, take feedback and change your mind when the evidence says so.
- Resilient and disciplined: you stay consistent through rejection, long night shifts and slow weeks.
- A strong communicator: on the phone, in writing and in front of senior people.
Why Join Us
- Direct exposure to the CRO and CEO, and a real voice in how we go to market.
- The chance to build an outbound engine for a new industry rather than follow a fixed script.
- A fast-growing environment where ownership and good ideas are rewarded.
- Hands-on learning across sales, marketing and product at an AI company.

What You Will Do
- Understand industries and accounts
- Research one industry at a time: how its operations work, where documents slow things down, what it costs them, and why they would care about Docxster.
- Learn the competitive picture: the software our prospects already use (ERPs, TMS, freight and customs platforms, OCR and automation tools) and where Docxster replaces or complements it.
- Track market triggers that signal buying intent, such as new trade lanes, compliance or audit pressure, ERP rollouts, and hiring for data entry or documentation roles.
- Build and prioritize the pipeline
- Find target companies using sources such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, intent data, industry directories, job boards, trade associations and news.
- Score and rank accounts against our Ideal Customer Profile (size, geography, systems, pain, buying signals) so the best accounts get worked first.
- Build and maintain clean lists, mapping the right people at each account: decision makers, influencers, users and potential blockers.
- Verify contact data (email, phone, title, LinkedIn) before outreach, and keep records accurate.
- Run multi-channel outbound
- Reach prospects through cold calls, cold email, LinkedIn and voicemail, in a planned sequence with timely follow-ups.
- Research each account before you reach out, so every message is relevant and personal rather than generic.
- Adapt your pitch to the person you are speaking to. A COO, an Operations Head, a Director, a VP and a Manager each care about different things, and your message should reflect that.
- Keep a steady, consistent outreach rhythm every day. Quality of conversation matters as much as activity.
- Handle objections and qualify
- Respond calmly and intelligently to common pushback: "We already have OCR", "We already use CargoWise", "We already have automation", "We do not have a budget", "Call me later". Understand why an objection is being raised, not just how to counter it, and turn it into a real conversation.
- Qualify opportunities properly so Account Executives spend time only on prospects who fit.
- Run discovery and hand over cleanly
- When a prospect agrees to a meeting, ask business-level questions (not scripted ones) about their problems, current process, impact, decision process, urgency, stakeholders, budget and success criteria.
- Hand over each opportunity to the Account Executive with clear context, so the prospect never has to repeat themselves.
- Be the voice of the market
- Bring back what you hear on calls: objections, competitor mentions, language prospects use, and patterns across accounts.
- Challenge our assumptions about industries, ICP and messaging, and back your view with evidence.
- Propose new industries, segments, plays and messaging improvements, and help test them.
- Share insights with Marketing (content and messaging), Product (feature and positioning feedback) and Leadership (strategy).
- Stay organized and accountable
- Log every activity, conversation and next step in the CRM (Salesmate), and keep your pipeline and notes up to date.
- Organize your lists, research, sequences and learnings so that others can follow and reuse your work.
- Take part in regular pipeline reviews and report on what is working, what is not, and what you will change.
