Chola MS Risks is hiring a Safety Trainer for a leading Power Plant client, requiring 10+ years total experience and 3+ years as Safety Trainer. Location: Surat & Chhattisgarh. BE/ME in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil engineering.

Onboarding contractors, coordinating safety training, and conducting safety audits are core duties. The role includes producing MIS and promoting safety initiatives across sites.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil engineering.
• ADIS/PDIS or equivalent safety certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of total experience in safety roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding with contractor leaders and ensure safety clauses are implemented.
• Evaluate competence for critical activities with safety specialists.
• Provide advice on safety inspections at sites.
• Identify training needs and coordinate sessions through trainers.
• Schedule contractor safety audits and coordinate periodic audits.
• Collect monthly MIS and review contractor safety performance.
• Promote safety activities and progressive consequence management.
• Prepare weekly/monthly MIS for Project Safety Manager.

Key Role & Responsibility:

• To conduct on boarding meeting with the contractor owner /in charges along with Engineer in charges to verify fulfilment of contract safety clauses for supply of materials and manpower and obtain agreement for implementation of all safety system in their activities during the project
• To facilitate evaluation of competence of critical activities through other safety specialist, i.e WAH, Lifting and rigging, electrical and RA(Safety officers)
• To provide advice on the matters related to carrying out project safety inspections at the sites.
• To identify training needs for contractor workers and coordinate training through Trainers
• To schedule contractor safety audit and coordinate for conducting periodical audit through contractor safety committee
• To obtain safety observations on contractor and evaluate their performance
• To obtain near miss reporting/incident reporting from contractor and monitor implementation of investigation recommendation
• Participate in Contractor safety meeting and raise high severity points related to implementation of contractor safety procedures
• To obtain monthly MIS from the contractor and review their safety performance and develop contractor safety das board
• Organize various safety promotion activities for contractors as per the advice of project safety Manager
• To implement progressive consequence management procedure as per CSM
• Provide inputs to management on strengthening the over all contractor safety management system
• To prepare and submit weekly/Monthly MIS to Project Safety manager

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: B.E / M.E Any stream- Electrical / Mechanical/ Civil

ADDITIONAL SAFETY CERTIFICATION: - ADIS/PDIS

INDUSTRY PREFERRED: Any (Power plant is added advantage)
