Job summary

Hyosung T&D India Private Limited is seeking a Safety Officer for its site in Tamil Nadu. The role requires 5–10 years of experience in safety in a manufacturing environment and a Diploma in Industrial Safety, with an Engineering background preferred.

You will lead HSE compliance, conduct inspections, train staff, manage incidents, and drive continuous safety improvements at the facility. The position is on-site in Tamil Nadu with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with two years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Bachelor of Science/ Diploma in Engineering with 5 years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, standards, and work instructions.
• Conduct safety induction training for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize regular safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and ensure availability.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, training, audits, and statutory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for various work activities.
