Dodhia Group is seeking a Safety Officer/Assistant Manager EHS to lead risk assessments, develop HSE policies, and drive training programs at our Surat facility. You will conduct JSA, manage incident investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA/ISO 45001 standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field and 5-7 years of safety experience in textile/manufacturing environments. On-site work with a strong emphasis on preventive safety and team leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular risk assessments and JSA to prevent incidents.
• Develop and update Health, Safety and Environment policies.
• Organize safety training, toolbox talks, and drills.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001 and coordinate with inspectors.
• Inspect PPE, fire safety equipment and alarms for proper use.

Safety Officer/ Assistant manager EHS

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify physical, chemical, or biological hazards. Perform detailed risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to prevent accidents before they occur.
• Policy Development: Create, implement, and update comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies in line with current legislation.
• Safety Training & Drills: Organize and lead safety training sessions, "Toolbox Talks," and emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, first aid) to ensure staff readiness.
• Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation into workplace accidents or near-misses. Use root cause analysis to determine why an incident happened and implement corrective measures.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure the organization adheres to legal standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Prepare for and coordinate with external safety inspectors and auditors.
• Equipment Oversight: Regularly inspect safety equipment like fire extinguishers, alarms, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure they are functional and properly used.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically 57 years of experience in a safety role, often specific to the industry (e.g., textile, Food Grade related , Manufacturing, ).
