Job Summary :

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying hazards, enforcing safety regulations, providing safety training, and investigating incidents to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure implementation of risk assessment and control measures.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety induction training for new employees.
• Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
• Educate employees on safe work practices and PPE usage.

Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Emergency Preparedness

• Coordinate emergency response activities.
• Conduct mock drills and evacuation exercises.
• Ensure fire-fighting equipment and emergency facilities are operational.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain safety records, reports, and inspection logs.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities.

PPE Monitoring

• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of safety gear and equipment.
