Job summary

ERD Technologies in Noida seeks a Safety Officer to implement and monitor workplace safety, prevent industrial accidents, and ensure compliance with factory safety norms.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience and a Diploma or Engineering degree with an Industrial Safety qualification. You will coordinate with maintenance and HR, conduct inductions, and lead safety audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of workplace safety procedures, statutory requirements, and applicable factory safety rules.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, SMT, assembly, testing, stores, maintenance, and other factory areas.
• Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor the safe operation of machinery and electrical equipment; ensure PPE usage.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; maintain incident records and track corrective actions.
• Monitor fire safety equipment, emergency exits, evacuation routes, alarms, and emergency drills.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to address unsafe equipment and hazards.
• Monitor safe handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and other hazardous materials.
• Maintain safety inspection reports, risk assessments, and training records.
• Coordinate with HR, Factory Manager during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Support 5S, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist management in implementing statutory safety requirements.

• Maintain safety inspection reports, risk assessments, training records, incident registers, and statutory documentation.


• Coordinate with HR, the Factory Manager, maintenance, and external authorities during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.


• Support the implementation of 5S, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Assist management in implementing applicable statutory requirements concerning occupational safety, health, welfare, and accident reporting.
