Job summary

Coreehs in Gujarat is seeking a proactive HSE Officer to implement and monitor health, safety and environmental policies across the township construction site. You will drive safety standards, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with PTW, PPE, and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and project safety requirements across the township construction site.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Monitor construction activities including excavation, foundation work, RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, finishing, and external development works.
• Ensure safe execution of work at height activities, including scaffolding, ladders, working platforms, and fall-protection systems.
• Inspect scaffolding and ensure proper erection, tagging, access, guardrails, toe boards, bracing, and stability before use.
• Monitor lifting and material-handling operations, including crane, hydra, lifting tools, tackles, and rigging activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities.
• Monitor excavation and trenching activities, ensuring proper barricading, access/egress, shoring or safe-sloping arrangements, and underground utility identification.
• Monitor electrical safety, including temporary electrical connections, distribution boards, cables, earthing, ELCB/RCCB protection, and electrical tools.
• Ensure safe execution of hot work, welding, gas cutting, grinding, and other fire-risk activities.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety inductions, pre-job briefings, and safety awareness training for workers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure 100% compliance with appropriate PPE requirements, including helmets, safety shoes, gloves, eye protection, reflective jackets, and fall-protection equipment.
• Review and assist in implementing HIRA, JSA, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements for construction activities.
• Monitor proper housekeeping, material storage, access routes, barricading, warning signage, and traffic management throughout the project.
• Ensure safe movement of construction vehicles, equipment, workers, and materials within the township project.
• Monitor safety during demolition, dismantling, cutting, and modification activities, wherever applicable.
• Ensure adequate fire protection and emergency arrangements, including fire extinguishers, emergency exits, assembly points, and rescue equipment.
• Conduct and participate in emergency drills, fire drills, work-at-height rescue drills, and other mock drills.
