Job summary

Ceremorphic, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead functional safety activities for its automotive and industrial products.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to define safety concepts and develop safety architectures achieving ASIL-D and SIL-3, and prepare safety cases and documentation. You will coordinate safety analyses, manage safety goals, and work with certification bodies to obtain approvals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Functional Safety management in automotive or hardware safety development.
• Experience with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
• Experience in requirements management and establishing traceability for functional safety requirements.
• Familiarity with Safety Analysis Techniques (FMEA, FMEDA) and Fault Injection.
• Experience in getting products certified for functional safety.
• Functional Safety Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and create functional safety plan, safety case and work products for ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and Robotics.
• Define safety concepts and safety architecture for ASIL‑D and SIL‑3.
• Conduct safety analyses on designs and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with certification agencies to obtain ASIL‑D and SIL‑3 certifications.
• Oversee end-to-end safety activities from Safety Goals to certification.

About the Role

The person will interact closely with key technical experts to develop methodology for functional safety in an efficient way. The role includes

• Leading, coordinating and creating functional safety plan, safety case and the relevant work products for ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and Robotics.
• Working with hardware and software team to come up with technical safety concepts and safety architecture to meet ASIL-D and SIL-3 for automotive and industrial.
• Conducting safety analyses on the designs and identify areas of improvement.
• Working with certification agency to get the certification for ASIL-D and SIL-3.
• End to end safety activities from Safety Goals to certification.

Educational Requirements

BS/BTech; MS/MTech; PhD in related areas

Key Qualifications
