Job summary

Growth For Impact seeks a Senior Safety Engineer to define and develop functional and technical safety concepts aligned with product architecture and intended functionality.

You will contribute to requirements capture, verify safety strategies, and participate in audits, assessments, and internal reviews. You will also support customers in integrating safety solutions and tailoring them to specific needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in semiconductor product development with exposure to functional safety.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures in automotive/industrial safety.
• Knowledge of IP/SoC level safety mechanisms.
• Experience with safety analysis techniques such as FTA, DFA, and FMEDA.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
• Preferred: Experience in functional safety design within Tier1/Tier2 automotive suppliers.
• Preferred: Experience in safety audits, assessments, and certification activities.
• Preferred: Familiarity with requirements management tools such as ELM7.

ROLE

• Define and develop functional and technical safety concepts based on product architecture, technology, and intended functionality.


• Contribute to the capture and management of requirements using appropriate requirements management tools.


• Support the definition and review of safety verification and validation strategies.


• Contribute to safety audits, assessments, and internal reviews.


• Support customers in the integration and application of NXP safety products, including tailored solutions where required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent.


• 5–8 years of experience in semiconductor product development with exposure to functional safety.
