Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Functional Safety professional to lead the safety lifecycle for automotive projects. You will drive ISO26262 deployment, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safety work products are prepared and maintained throughout the program.

The role requires deep knowledge of automotive safety standards, hardware/software architecture, and experience with safety assessments and supplier communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety management and ISO26262 deployment.
• Conducted complete safety lifecycle for projects up to ASIL-D.
• Familiar with hardware and software architecture and development processes.
• Familiar with other standards (IEC61508, ...etc)

• Definition and execution of the product safety lifecycle as per ISO26262 and NXP internal process.
• Continuous follow-up and reporting of functional safety activities.
• Preparation of safety work products: safety plan, safety case, tool evaluation, ...etc

Your Responsibilities

• Continuous follow-up and reporting of functional safety activities
• Preparation of safety work products: safety plan, safety case, tool evaluation, ...etc

• Interfacing with functional safety assessor for assessment and confirmation reviews execution

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety management and ISO26262 deployment
• Conducted complete safety lifecycle for projects up to ASIL-D
• Good understanding of Hardware and Software architecture and development process
• Familiar with project management tool: Jira, microsoft project, ...etc
• Experience with Safety Assessments/Audits.
• Preferred:
• Knowledge in Automotive MCU architectures.
• Experience in semiconductor product development mainly as SEooC.
• Experience in supplier management and communication with customers.
• Familiar with other standard (IEC61508, ...etc)
