Why Technology Consulting

The Technology Consulting business within Global Network invents the future for clients by providing guidance, design thinking and innovative solutions for technological transformation. As technology rapidly evolves, having an innovation advisor who can create or implement new vision to solve the client’s toughest business problems is essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Lead AWS cloud architecture workstreams within large advisory and transformation programs, owning the design and delivery of architecture outcomes end-to-end. Act as the primary day-to-day architecture advisor to client VP and Director-level technology stakeholders, running design sessions, facilitating decisions, and maintaining a decision log.

Own detailed design of AWS multi‑account environments including Landing Zone configurations, Control Tower guardrails, and AWS Organizations policies.

Design cloud security architecture, developing Zero Trust network designs, IAM and access governance models, encryption frameworks, and policy-as-code implementations using AWS-native security services.

Lead FinOps workstreams, building financial governance frameworks, multi-year cost models, chargeback/showback mechanisms, and identifying rightsizing and commitment optimisation opportunities using AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor.

Own IaC and platform engineering architecture, defining standards and patterns using CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform, and designing governance models for consistent, auditable delivery.

Design observability architectures using CloudWatch, X‑Ray, and third‑party platforms such as Datadog and Dynatrace.

Contribute across adjacent areas: design infrastructure enabling AI and agentic workloads using SageMaker, Bedrock, AgentCore, and Amazon Q; provide cloud architecture inputs to Tech Modernization engagements; apply resilience patterns; advise on ecosystem decisions covering ISV/MSP selection and vendor models.

Support business development through proposal contributions, cloud architecture solutioning, client presentations, and identifying follow‑on engagement opportunities. Contribute to reusable assets, reference architectures, and viewpoints that strengthen the practice.

Qualifications & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Cloud Computing, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305), Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
Experience

9–14 years of relevant experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise technology organizations. At least 4 years leading cloud architecture workstreams within enterprise advisory or transformation programs, with direct ownership of architecture design and client stakeholder management at VP and Director level.

Hands‑on experience designing and delivering AWS multi‑account environments, Landing Zone configurations, Control Tower guardrails, AWS Organizations structures, VPC and networking designs, and workload placement strategies.

Strong experience designing cloud security architecture for client environments, developing Zero Trust designs, IAM and access governance models, encryption frameworks, and policy‑as‑code implementations.

Experience leading FinOps workstreams, building financial governance frameworks, multi‑year cost models, chargeback/showback mechanisms, and rightsizing and commitment optimisation.

Experience contributing cloud architecture inputs to adjacent workstreams, supporting Tech Modernization and Technology Resiliency engagements.

Experience supporting business development, contributing to proposals, solutioning, client presentations, and identifying follow‑on opportunities.
