Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in coding in C, C++, Python or Rust.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with focus on reliability and safety.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in CS, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Background or interest in quantum computing, scientific instrumentation, or cryogenic applications is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Rust programming and modern systems programming concepts (optional).

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Rust-based software for an indigenous Quantum Operating System.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and research teams to translate requirements into robust code.
  • Write and review Rust code, implement APIs and libraries, and document tooling for internal and external users.
  • Troubleshoot production and lab issues and contribute to software architecture decisions.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Rust Software Engineer role based in the Delhi. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Rust-based software for indigenous Quantum Operating System

The engineer will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and research teams to translate experimental and system requirements into robust, efficient, and safe code. Day-to-day tasks include writing and reviewing Rust code, implementing and testing APIs and libraries, optimizing performance and reliability, and creating documentation and tooling to support internal and external users. The role also includes troubleshooting production and lab issues, contributing to software architecture decisions, and participating in continuous improvement of development practices.

Qualifications
  • MUST have: Experience in coding (C, C++, Python or Rust)
  • MUST have: Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicists, hardware engineers, and researchers.
  • MUST have: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on reliability and safety.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • MUST have: Background or interest in quantum computing, scientific instrumentation, or cryogenic applications is a plus.
  • OPTIONAL: Strong proficiency in Rust programming, including ownership, lifetimes, and concurrency.
  • OPTIONAL: Experience with systems programming concepts such as memory management, multi-threading, and low-level I/O.
  • OPTIONAL: Familiarity with hardware–software integration, embedded systems, or device control is highly beneficial.
  • OPTIONAL: Knowledge of software architecture, API design, and modular code organization.
  • OPTIONAL: Experience with testing frameworks, debugging tools, and performance profiling in Rust or similar languages.
  • OPTIONAL: Comfort with modern development workflows: Git-based version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines.
