QNuLabs seeks a hands-on hardware engineering leader to own the full hardware lifecycle across high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, FPGA, and PCB systems for production-scale quantum hardware.
You will build and mentor a 15+ person hardware team, drive design-for-manufacturing, qualification, and transfer to volume production, and represent hardware to Indian Armed Forces, partners, and customers.
QNuLabs is India’s leading quantum security company, building the cryptographic backbone for a post-quantum world. Our portfolio spans Quantum Key Distribution (ArmosQKDN – terrestrial fibre, free‑space, and satellite), Quantum Random Number Generation (Tropos discrete and CV-QRNGSiP), Post‑Quantum Cryptography (HODOS), and emerging quantum sensing platforms. We work with national agencies and global commercial partners, and we have deployed India’s first 1000 km QKD network.
We are looking for a hands‑on technical leader to own the entire hardware engineering function – high‑speed digital, analog/mixed‑signal, FPGA, PCB, and full system integration through ruggedised, manufacturable products. You will be the single point of accountability for the hardware roadmap across every QNuproduct line.
Quantum orphotonicsbackground is notrequired. That domain knowledge sits with our physics and product teams. What we need is a world‑class electronics leader who can architect and ship complex mixed‑signal/FPGA‑heavy products at production scale. We will bring you up to speed on the physics.
This is a critical, end‑to‑end ownership role. You will set technical direction, build and mentor the team, drive design‑for‑manufacturing and qualification, and represent QNU hardware to government and enterprise customers.
Experience: 15+ years in hardware engineering with at least 5 years leading multidisciplinary teams; demonstrated track record of taking complex hardware products from concept to volume production.
M.Tech, M.S., or PhD in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from league A colleges, or equivalent. Outstanding industry track record will be considered in lieu.
Strong systems thinking, calm under technical pressure, decisive in architectural trade‑offs, comfortable in the lab as well as the boardroom, and able to attract and grow talent.
You will lead the hardware engine behind India’s first quantum‑secure communications and cryptography stack, with products deployed in national infrastructure and active partnerships across satellite, defence, and enterprise domains. You will work alongside a senior technical leadership team that has shipped first‑of‑kind quantum systems, hold meaningful equity (ESOPs), and have the latitude to shape both the technical roadmap and the team that executes it.
