Copods is seeking a Rust Engineer to design, build, and operate high‑performance backend services in a distributed, cloud‑native environment.

The role focuses on scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and robust observability. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Pune and Bangalore, delivering reliable, secure services at scale.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional Rust development experience.
• Strong understanding of ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Proven experience building backend services and distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Strong experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Experience optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, logging, and performance analysis tools.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.

Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate Rust Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop high-performance, cloud-native backend services using Rust, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. You will work on modern distributed systems, microservices architectures, and RESTful APIs while leveraging Rust’s memory safety and concurrency features to build secure and efficient applications.

The ideal candidate has experience building and operating backend systems in production environments, with strong knowledge of microservices, cloud platforms, containerization, and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that can scale with growing business and technical demands.
