Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore Rules and Process engineering team for catalog and BPMN components.
• Translate designs from Architect/Tech Lead into implementation tasks.
• Develop rule definitions, decision tables, and cloud rule engine API.
• Lead workflow engine client and Worker Services for BPMN orchestration.
• Implement service task executors and HTTP integrations with the rules engine.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards for offshore engineers.
• Coordinate with onshore tech lead for design clarifications.
• Manage rule repository schemas and DB configurations with DBAs.
• Lead unit and component testing prior to SIT handoff.
• Drive defect resolution during SIT/E2E and stabilization phases.
• Implement logging, metrics, monitoring and APM instrumentation.
• Support performance tuning under load tests and scaling scenarios.
• Coordinate offshore sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking.

Job Title: Rules & Process Tech Lead

Role Overview

• Lead the offshore Rules and Process engineering team in implementing the business rule catalog and BPMN workflow components.
• Translate rule and process designs from the Rules and Process Architect into detailed technical implementation tasks.
• Design and develop business rule definitions, decision tables, and the rule catalog API on the cloud compute instances rule engine runtime.
• Lead implementation of workflow engine client and Worker Services (Java-based microservice framework) for BPMN process orchestration.
• Implement service task executors and HTTP client integrations between BPMN worker services and the business rules engine.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce technical standards for the Rules and Process Sr. Engineers (offshore).
• Coordinate with the Rules and Process Architect/Tech Lead (onshore) on design clarifications and technical decisions.
• Manage rule repository database (relational database management system (RDBMS)) schema changes and data configuration in coordination with DBAs.
• Lead unit testing and component-level testing for rule and process services prior to SIT handoff.
• Drive resolution of rule and process-related defects during SIT/E2E and stabilization phases.
• Implement logging, metrics, and monitoring instrumentation for rule and process services (cloud monitoring, log aggregation, and APM tools).
• Support performance tuning of the business rules engine and rule catalog API under load testing scenarios.
• Coordinate offshore sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking for the Rules and Process stream.
• Document technical designs, API contracts, and rule catalog mappings for knowledge transfer.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Rules and Process Sr. Engineers and Admin/DevOps Engineer.
• Support data migration validation between legacy rules and the modernized Rule Catalog.
• Collaborate with the Integration team on enterprise batch job dependencies impacting rule processing.
