Job summary

EY is seeking a finance professional to manage end-to-end accounting, group close, and financial reporting within the power/energy sector. The role requires IFRS and US GAAP knowledge and proficiency with ERP systems like Workday, SAP, and Oracle.

You will analyze business processes, deliver regular updates and reports, and drive process improvements while upholding strong controls. Collaboration across teams and stakeholder meetings are key features of the role, with additional project tasks

Qualifications

• End-to-end knowledge of accounting processes, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounting incl. group accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and year-end close (power/energy sector preferred).
• Understand client business processes to capture requirements and deliver updates, schedules and reports.
• Challenge existing processes by proposing lean improvements while ensuring strong controls and quality.
• Review dashboards for multi-country engagements and participate in stakeholder review meetings.
• Foster cross-team working relationships across departments.
• Handle project-related tasks and ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities

• End to end accounting experience including Group Accounting, month end closing, financial reporting, Balance sheet reconciliation and financial year closing process, (in the power / energy sector preferred)
• Gain a thorough understanding of business processes and operations adopted by the client to identify their requirements and ensure it is met through regular updates, schedules and reports
• Willingness to challenge status quo processes and desire to implement process improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls and improve quality
• Review the progress dashboard of multi country engagements and be part of review meetings with multiple stakeholders
• To foster working relationships with the team and across departments
• Manage additional project-related responsibilities as well as ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders

Must have skills

• End to end knowledge of accounting processes, accounting principles (IFRS), US GAAP
• Knowledge of ERP systems like Workday, SAP, Oracle etc.,
